Popcorn and Peanut Crunch

A list of ingredients you will need:

3 1/2 cups - popped popcorn

1 1/2 cups - peanuts

1 cup - firmly packed Domino® Light Brown Sugar

1/2 cup - butter or margarine

1/4 cup - light or dark corn syrup

1/4 teaspoon - baking soda

1/4 teaspoon - vanilla

Recipe tip: one package of microwave popcorn makes about 3 1/2 cups popped popcorn.

Instructions »

Preheat oven to 250°F.

In a large shallow baking or roasting pan, combine the popped popcorn and peanuts.

In a 1 1/2-quart saucepan, combine the brown sugar, butter and corn syrup. Cook and stir constantly over medium heat until butter melts and mixture comes to a boil. Boil without stirring for 5 minutes.

Remove from heat; stir in baking soda and vanilla. Gradually pour mixture over popcorn, mixing well. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove baked popcorn to a large bowl and mix gently once or twice as mixture cools completely. Store in tightly covered container.
