What’s different about the new packaging?

Domino® Sugar is committed to adding value to consumers. This new packaging improvement allows the sugar to be easily resealed and helps keep it fresh for a longer period of time.

Why did you add a zipper to Domino® brown sugar bags?

This new packaging improvement allows the brown sugar to be easily resealed and helps keep it moist after several uses. It is perfect for all your baking needs. With the added convenience of zipper bags, there is no need to transfer sugar from the package to a separate container.

How do you properly seal the new zipper bags?

It’s easy. Just press the zipper together then slide your fingers along the zipper to lock the rest of it together.

Are the zipper bags recyclable?

Yes, our 2 lb. zipper bags are recyclable and have specific How to Recycle information on the label. The How to Recycle information icon is located on the nutrition facts panel in the lower, right-hand corner. Please note recycling programs vary from community to community.  You can check with your local recycling office or go to how2recycle.info and click on the “Check Locally” tab for available local recycling information.

Is the light and dark brown sugar in the zipper bags the same as the sugars in the current packaging?

Yes, the light brown sugar and dark brown sugar are still the same high-quality sugar we are known for.

How long will the brown sugar stay fresh in the new zipper bags?

Freshness will depend on your location and environmental factors, but if your brown sugar loses moisture, you can always reference our Brown Sugar Baking Tips for helpful tips on how to soften it.

How do you store the zipper bags?

Store your brown sugar in a cool dry place–never in the refrigerator.
