Blondie Brownies with Walnuts & Chocolate Chips

These chewy and delicious blondies made by Savvy Saving Couple feature less processed Domino® Golden Sugar.

Ingredients
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsps. cornstarch
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 3/4 cups Domino® Golden Sugar
  • 2 tsps vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 3/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

Prep Time: 5 minutes / Cook Time: 25 minutes / Yields: 15 blondies

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

Step 2

Line a 9x13 baking dish with parchment paper. You want to tear off a 1 1/2 times the pan length to have some overhang to make it easier to pull out brownies & cut them.

Step 3

Line a 9x13 baking dish with parchment paper. You want to tear off an 11/2 times the pan length to have some overhang to make it easier to pull out brownies & cut them.

Step 4

Add melted butter and Golden Sugar to a stand mixer, and mix until combined.

Step 5

Add in vanilla extract, eggs, and egg yolk, combine until fully integrated.

Step 6

Turn off mixer, and remove bowl from machine.

Step 7

Fold in nuts and chocolate chips with a rubber spatula. Dough will be thick.

Step 8

Add dough to parchment lined pan and spread it evenly in the pan.

Step 9

Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350ºF. Use a toothpick at the 25 minute mark to test if the center is done. The blondies should be firm and not jiggly.

Step 10

Once fully baked, carefully remove them from the oven with mitts, and allow them to cool for 30 minutes before cutting them into 15 pieces

Step 11

Enjoy warm.
