Brown Sugar & Chocolate Espresso Martini

This Easter, indulge in the rich and velvety Brown Sugar & Chocolate Espresso Martini. Crafted with a homemade brown sugar syrup, this gluten-free and vegan delight marries the warmth of brown sugar syrup, bold espresso, and the luscious touch of chocolat

Ingredients
  • 2 ounces vodka

  • 1 ounce freshly brewed espresso, cooled
  • 1 ounce coffee liqueur (e.g., Kahlúa)
  • 1 ounce brown sugar syrup 

Brown Sugar Syrup

  • 1 cup Domino® Dark Brown Sugar

  • 1 cup water

Step 1

Drizzle chocolate syrup inside a chilled martini glass. Swirl the glass to coat the interior evenly with chocolate.

Step 2

In a shaker, add vodka, freshly brewed and cooled espresso, coffee liqueur, brown sugar syrup and ice. Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to chill the ingredients.

Step 3

Strain the cocktail into the prepared martini glass, pouring it gently over the back of a spoon to create a layered effect.

Make The Syrup

Step 1

In a saucepan, combine brown sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has completely dissolved.

Step 2

Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce heat and let it simmer for 5 minutes

Step 3

Remove from heat and let it cool completely. Once cooled, transfer the syrup to a bottle or jar for storage.

Additional Tips

If desired, garnish the drink with coffee beans or chocolate shavings on top.
