Prep Time: 15 minutes, chill time 30 minutes / Cook Time : 10 minutes / Yields: 18 cookies
Step 1
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
Step 2
In a separate large bowl with a handmixer (or in the bowl of a standmixer fitted with a paddle attachment) add the butter, the Domino Granulated Sugar and the Domino Dark Brown Sugar. Cream together until light and fluffy, making sure to scrape the sides of the bowl intermittently. This should take about 5 minutes with a handmixer and about 3 minutes in a standmixer.
Step 3
To the bowl with the creamed butter and Domino Sugars, add the egg, egg yolk and vanilla. Mix again until combined.
Step 4
Add the combined dry ingredients into the larger bowl with the butter, sugar, egg, egg yolk and vanilla. Mix until thick dough forms. Cover bowl with cling wrap and refrigerate the bowl for at least 30 minutes so the dough can hydrate.
Step 5
Remove dough from the refrigerator. Preheat the oven to 350F. Uncover the bowl and prepare a cookie sheet with a sheet of parchment paper. Using a 2 tablespoon scoop, scoop cookies onto cookie sheet leaving at least 2.5 inches in between.
Step 6
Bake the cookies for 8-12 minutes or until edges are set and centers look slightly underdone. Remove from oven and let cool. If cookies are slightly puffed, feel free to press the tops down with the back of a spoon or spatula. Enjoy!
