For the ginger mint syrup
1 cup Domino® Turbinado Sugar
- 1 cup Water
- ¼ cup Fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
- 2 tablespoons Mint leaves
For the Kentucky Mule
2 ounces Bourbon
- 1 ounce Freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 tablespoon Ginger mint syrup
- Top with Ginger beer
- Mint and lime slices, as garnish
- Ice

Kentucky Mule
Step 1
Prepare the syrup by adding water and sugar into a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and add ginger and mint. Allow the mixture to steep for 25 minutes. Strain out the solids and discard.
Step 2
For the drink. Add bourbon, lime juice, and syrup to a copper mug. Fill the mug with ice. Top with ginger beer, stir. Garnish with mint leaves and lime slices. Serve immediately.
Additional Tips
Store leftover syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. You may use it to sweeten other beverages like iced tea or lemonade.
